Ghost Watch for iOS — Help & FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Ghost Watch actually detect?
Ghost Watch scans for Bluetooth trackers (AirTags, Tile, SmartTags, and unknown BLE devices), suspicious network connections, abnormal battery drain patterns, cellular signal anomalies, and device integrity issues. All analysis happens on your iPhone.
Does Ghost Watch send my data anywhere?
No. Ghost Watch has zero cloud connectivity, no analytics, no accounts, and no third-party SDKs. Everything is processed and stored locally on your device. The only data that leaves your phone is the SOS text message you explicitly choose to send.
How do I use Sweep Mode?
Tap the radar icon on the dashboard, then tap "Start Sweep." Walk slowly around your car, bag, or room. Ghost Watch will detect nearby Bluetooth devices and show their signal strength in real time. Known devices like your AirPods will be labeled and dimmed so you can focus on unrecognized signals.
How does the SOS feature work?
Set up your trusted contacts in the Trusted Contacts tab. When you tap the SOS button (or use the home screen shortcut or Siri), Ghost Watch opens a pre-filled text message to either 911 or your trusted contacts with your current GPS location. You confirm the send yourself.
What is Panic Mode?
Shake your phone to instantly hide Ghost Watch behind a fully functional calculator screen. Enter your secret code to return to the app. This protects you if someone checks your phone.
What does Ghost Watch Pro include?
Pro unlocks background scanning (works when the app is closed), stealth mode (disguised app icon), personalized safety plan, trusted contacts with SOS, and priority threat intelligence updates.
Can Ghost Watch detect Pegasus or other spyware?
Ghost Watch runs forensic-level checks for indicators associated with known spyware, including anomalous processes, suspicious network behavior, and device integrity issues. While no app can guarantee 100% detection of nation-state spyware, Ghost Watch applies the same detection methodologies used by professional forensic tools.
Why does Ghost Watch need Bluetooth permission?
Bluetooth scanning is how Ghost Watch detects hidden trackers like AirTags, Tile devices, and unknown BLE transmitters near you. Without this permission, tracker detection and Sweep Mode cannot function.
Why does Ghost Watch need location permission?
Location is used only for the SOS feature — when you send an emergency message, your GPS coordinates are included so your contacts or 911 can find you. Ghost Watch never tracks or stores your location at any other time.
The threat score shows 0% but I feel unsafe. What should I do?
Ghost Watch detects electronic surveillance, not physical threats. If you feel unsafe, trust your instincts. Use the SOS button to alert your contacts, call 911, or reach out to the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. Your safety comes first.
How do I change the app icon to stealth mode?
Go to Settings and toggle "Stealth Mode." The app icon will change to look like a generic utility. This is a Pro feature.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Open the iOS Settings app, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Find Ghost Watch Pro and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Pro features will remain active until the end of your billing period.
If You Are in Immediate Danger
